The Old Rectory is a wedding and events venue in Killyman, Dungannon made up of multiple separate buildings across the estate. The client contacted us to improve site security and support health and safety monitoring during weddings and large events.

They required full CCTV coverage across buildings and outdoor areas without disrupting the historic character of the venue, along with a stable and secure network capable of supporting a large IP CCTV system. A key requirement was reliably connecting separate buildings without the need for intrusive groundworks.

The layout of the venue includes multiple standalone buildings spread across the estate. Traditional underground cabling was not practical due to the scale of the site and the need to preserve the character of the venue. 

The solution needed to provide reliable connectivity and sufficient bandwidth for high-resolution CCTV streams, while remaining discreet and allowing for future expansion.

We delivered a centralised IP CCTV system supported by a site-wide mesh network and point-to-point wireless links. 

A 32-channel Hikvision network video recorder was installed alongside 26 × 5MP IP turret cameras, providing full coverage of entrances, access routes, external areas, and staff-only zones. 

To link the separate buildings, Ubiquiti point-to-point wireless links were deployed, supported by 1Gb switches to ensure a secure, stable network capable of reliably carrying high-resolution CCTV footage across the entire venue.

The venue now benefits from complete CCTV coverage across all buildings and outdoor areas, supported by a secure, high-bandwidth network capable of handling high-resolution video streams. 

The solution improves security management and health and safety oversight during events, avoids disruptive groundworks, and remains sympathetic to the venue environment. The infrastructure is fully scalable, allowing additional cameras or network services to be added as requirements evolve.
